Monofilare
The single row system enables to protect crops from rain, hail and insects depending on the tarp and nets used for its production. Moreover, it is possible influence the micro-climate for the plant to be in the best vegetative-productive conditions. Over the past years this system has been increasingly chosen by farmers since it offers the best degree of impermeability against medium-small size insects. This type of structure seals up each row completely. If the crop is not sensitive to cracking or moulding - caused by excessive raining - then it can be covered with a normal anti-hail or anti-insect net. Otherwise, it is recommended to use a protective cover at the top of the plant. On the sides anti-insect nets are sewn and work as protection from hail as well. Spacing systems are usually employed to guarantee an adequate space for the crop to grow and to avoid any damage caused by the branches to the net. The spacers can be substituted by steel tubes attached to the post, or elastics that keep the net or tarp stretched. Considering the elevate price of production, this system is generally employed exclusively for valuable cultures.
